What we look for in a storefront

If customers walk in off the street, the storefront is your best advertisement. We look at frontage and sight lines, building and monument signage, and the co-tenants that put the right people in front of your door.

This category covers shops and service businesses alike — boutiques, CPAs, insurance agencies, shipping and print stores, cleaners and more. A tax office and a boutique need different things from a center, and we look for the one that fits how your customers actually find you.

Storefront or suite?

If customers walk in off the street, you're in the right place. If your clients come upstairs to a suite, our Office team has you covered.

Questions we hear

Why are CPAs and insurance agencies grouped with retail?

When they operate from a storefront, they need what a store needs: visibility, parking and walk-in access.

What are CAM charges and can they be capped?

Common area maintenance charges cover the center's shared costs. They can rise year over year, and a cap in the lease limits how much.

What happens if the center's anchor tenant leaves?

A co-tenancy clause can reduce your rent or let you exit if the anchor goes dark. We negotiate for it where it matters.
